Consultation for Families
Getting full psycho-educational evaluation is a lengthy process. When the report comes back it is a lot of information to take in and process. I’ve found that parents often benefit from a consultation a few months or even a few years later.
Going back to the evaluation gives an opportunity to ask questions that have come up, have the information explained when the child is in a different place developmentally, and to begin to understand the information at a deeper level. Evaluations are expensive and time consuming. Following up later to gain insight helps you get the full benefit from your investment.
